Curator Tour: Fragments of Displacement

Members are invited to experience Fragments of Displacement, a group exhibition taking place at the Miami Produce Center, during a guided visit led by the show’s co-curators Omar Lopez-Chahoud and Eduardo Lopez, the founder of FF Projects.

Set in Miami’s historic Allapattah district, an area shaped by industry, migration, and cultural exchange, this exhibition brings together conceptual artists whose practices engage with material transformation and site-specific dialogue. Set inside the fruit and vegetable stalls of independent market vendors at Miami’s largest open-air produce market, the unconventional setting examines how industrial remnants and spatial histories can be reactivated through contemporary artistic practice. It reveals Allapattah as a living archive of change where material, community, and identity continually evolve.

The show features works by Fountainhead alum Chantal Peñalosa Fong in addition to works by emerging and more established artists like Jose Davila, Jorge Mendez Blake, John Giorno, Andrea Geyer, and more.

The Fountainhead Experience membership program is for those who want to see the world differently and develop intimate relationships with artists and art appreciators. This season, Fountainhead members will be immersed in the local landscape, with behind-the-scenes tours of private collections, artist-led experiences, and more.
