Collector Home Tour: Vanessa Selk

Join us for an intimate evening at the home of Vanessa Selk and Samir Agili. Collectors and supporters of Caribbean contemporary art, the Agili-Selk have developed a thoughtful and personal collection shaped by long-term relationships with artists and an interest in transatlantic, historical, and ecological narratives.

Vanessa Selk, an independent curator, art advisor, and artistic director of the non-profit Tout-Monde Art Foundation, began collecting early in her career, while Samir Agili, an entrepreneur in mobile gaming, gradually developed his eye through this shared journey. Since settling in Miami, they have collected together with a focus on supporting Caribbean artists, approaching collecting as a form of political aesthetic and statement.

Their collection includes works by Nari Ward, Abraham Cruz Villegas, Anina Major, April Bey, Marielle Plaisir, Edouard Duval-Carrié, Morel Doucet, Stephen Arboite, Jessica Gispert, Patricia Encarnación, and others.
